Purpose:  Τo evaluate the impact on attitude of Greek students of secondary schools of Thessaly after the first two official Basic Life Support courses and the implementation of Kids Save Lives project.

Material – Method: Data collection took place on the academic period of 2017-2018 and was performed in secondary schools of Thessaly’s region. 57 students were trained in the first two official BLS courses that took place in  Greek schools instead of academic hours after official license of Greek educational Institute and Greek ministry of Education.  Moreover, a total of 2109 students (52.1% female, mean age 14.2 years) participated on the “Kids save Lives” program according to the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) and World Health Organization (WHO) statement.  After the training students were asked to spread the idea of ERC and WHO for training in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in school ages and were encouraged to start campaigns for information of local societies about cardiac arrest and the need for AEDs  and training in CPR  

Results: In this short period of 8 months more than 40 AED were installed in 2 cities in Thessaly with the 3 of them were bought with funds collected after a local campaign , which was led by students. Moreover, 11 new schools were incorporated to the Kids Save Life program, giving the opportunity to 867 new students to be trained in CPR.     

Concluions: The overall results strongly depict the benefits of “Kids Save Lives” program and BLS courses  by improving the attitude not only of students, but also of the society of Thessaly towards cardiac arrest and usage of AEDs
