The Student Chapter of the University of Costa Rica focuses most of its resources in activities and workshops. Members can develop skills, such as: communication, critical thinking, teamwork, leadership, and work ethics. These activities promote our chapter so more people can know about us and we can work with all types of communities. We made successful workshops and activities thanks to the commitment of our members and a lot of planning ahead of time. The activities have social aspects where both members and community memebers can bond; for example, we organize dances, self-defense workshops, stress management activities, and Christmas Bingo. These acciting activities provide our members with knowledge to be shared with the community and thus, promote science. Likewise, we organize activities during the chemistry week, such as: ice cream contest, summer research program, and science workshop for children. To-date, all activities have had a positive impact on the community.
