What was your first science experience? That moment, as a child, as a teenager, or even as an adult you decided that science is cool. It’s a different and unique experience for everyone; a magical introduction to another world, vast, and unknown. Maybe it was a science teacher, a dynamic parent, or a curious sibling that could’ve introduced you to the diverse and fascinating world of science. Curiosity is the first step towards advancement and evolution. We firmly believe that science, especially chemistry, has the fundamental principles for the future of mankind; therefore, we want to expose our community to its wonders. At ACS-UAGM Cupey Campus Student Chapter, we focus on promoting chemistry, its many branches and discoveries on how it helps us in our daily lives. One of our main beliefs is that children are the future of science. Therefore, we are determined to help students of all ages to understand the marvels of chemistry and inspire them to enjoy it. We strive to ignite curiosity and interest towards scientific fields. Our mission is to share our passion for science to other educational institutions. We continue to carry out our promise towards making Chemistry a subject comprehensible to children, college students, and adults. This is how the UAGM Cupey Campus Student Chapter hopes to reach our community, raising interest in chemistry and science at an early age. We firmly intend to continue our work visiting schools and sharing our enthusiasm for science with kids of all ages. Furthermore, we will continue providing assistance to our members in the advancement of their scientific careers and influencing student societies on our campus and across all the academic institutions in Puerto Rico.
