Background
Stroke and other Non Communicable Diseases (NCDs) are the leading cause of disability and death worldwide. Despite progress, it looks that the UN target to decrease premature mortality from NCDs by 33% by 2030 will be difficult to achieve. 
Objective
NCD stakeholders need to work towards shared goals in order to reduce the burden of these diseases. The main objective of the “Stroke & NCD Dialogues” is to increase knowledge on the complexity of NCDs through discussions between thought leaders and experts in NCDs, and the conference participants. These dialogues will also foster linkages and opportunities with on-going initiatives that can impact stroke.  
Methods and Results
The “Stroke & NCD Dialogues” will provide an interactive platform to discuss valuable tools that support national stroke and NCD efforts. Invited panelists will discuss burning topics, including tackling stroke and other NCDs together, engaging people living with stroke, access to care, and climate change. The World Health Organisation’s new HEARTS initiative to prevent circulatory diseases worldwide will be discussed. HEARTS has been developed with the support of several non-state actors, such as the WSO and AHA/ASA. The Dialogues will happen during conference breaks in the exhibition hall, with no registration required.
Conclusion
NCDs being the largest cause of disability and death worldwide, they require integrated care and action. The “Stroke & NCD Dialogues” during this conference will allow debate with health professional on burning NCD issues, and contribute to increase the knowledge and awareness of the complexity of stroke and other chronic diseases.
