The aim of the study was to evaluate the combination of thermography and skin ultrasound examinations in the assessment of patients with atopic dermatitis (AD) and psoriasis vulgaris (PV). We examined 17 patients: 6 with atopic dermatitis AD and 10 with psoriasis vulgaris PV, and 1 with coexisting lesions of AD and PV. After medical history collection and dermatological examination photography, thermography and ultrasound with frequency 33MHz and 75 MHz of skin lesions were performed. Temperature differences between lesions and healthy looking skin as well as ultrasound results such as thickness of epidermis, skin and subepidermal low-echogenic band (SLEB) were statistically analyzed. Temperature difference between the lesion and healthy looking skin was the only parameter that differentiated statistically significant between the AD and PV lesions.
