Control over promotion or suppression of crystallization has fundamental meaning in science and technology since a variety of physicochemical and biological properties are determined by the degree of crystallinity, polymorphism, crystal quality or grain size. As a result, recognizing the effective strategies allowing either to improve the stability of amorphous materials against crystallization or either promote/stabilize certain polymorphic transformations, whenever needed, is highly desirable. Much about that can be learned by studying the crystallization phenomenon under various thermodynamic conditions.<br/><br/>In this presentation, we will demonstrate how to affect the crystallization behavior of glass-forming systems with the use of increased pressure, geometrical nano-confinement, and high-electric field. Each of mentioned above strategy can be used to address a variety of fundamental problems related to the crystallization and glass-transition phenomena, as well as provides new opportunities to control crystallization outcome, manipulate with the morphology/dimensionality of growing crystals or obtain new crystalline materials with potentially interesting structures or properties. As the experimental technique, we have exploited dielectric spectroscopy which is a very tool to study relaxation phenomena in complex systems and follow the kinetics of different processes in such materials.
