The kinetics of the hydrogenation of CpCr(CO)3� to CpCr(CO)3H are third order, with a rate equal to kobs[Cr�]2[H2].   In benzene at 50� C kobs is 57 M�2s�1.  The triple-bonded dimer [CpCr(CO)2]2 is formed as a byproduct; the rate constant for the formation of [CpCr(CO)2]2 from [CpCr(CO)3]2 is 1.5 X 10�5 s�1.
