In this work, several polyethoxyamines were tested for carbon capture capability. It was determined the polymers, when supported on silica can serve as an effective material for CO2 capture and regeneration at 45 �C. The sorbent is able to quickly (under 2 minutes) absorb CO2 and can be easily regenerated within 15 minutes by a simple pressure swing without the need for increasing temperature. This has significant implications for lowering the cost for regeneration as compared to aqueous MEA-based systems. Further, the sorbent is stable over many cycles and is comprised of low-cost materials readily available on a commercial scale.
