A group of ligands were synthesized from a Schiff's base condensation reaction between tris-(2-aminoethylene)-amine and three equivalents of aldehydes such as: 2-furaldehyde and 2-thiophene carboxaldehyde.  Complexes were formed using the target ligands and various transition metals.  These complexes were then analyzed to determine the ligands' metal binding characteristics.  All analyses were performed using multi-nuclear NMR spectroscopy, and in select cases, single crystal structures.
