Three topics** will be discussed. (i) The intricacy of the interface between delocalized and localized regions in a supercooled liquid has been described, within the framework of the random first order theory (RFOT), by the �wetting� of an entropic droplet, through a renormalized surface tension. We will introduce several techniques to describe the surface tension that appears in the entropic droplet picture of activated events. (ii) A lower bound is obtained on the maximal density of disordered sphere packings in high dimensions. (iii) By exploiting similarities between projected and unprojected correlation functions, we show that the relaxation to the retardation time constants is correlated with the ratio of the dielectric constants in the limit of high and low frequencies raised to the power of gamma -- an exponent appearing in the Cole-Cole or Cole-Davidson representations of the dielectric relaxation.** in collaboration with Peter Wolynes.
