Generators of chemical wastes have many different options to safely and legally dispose of their wastes. The right combinations of drain and trash disposal along with service provider selection for off-site disposal can greatly increase efficiencies, reduce disposal costs, and reduce regulatory liabilities now and in the future. This presentation will provide an overview of these options outlined in Chapter 11 of the ACS 2012 Laboratory Waste Management: A Guidebook and help chemical waste generators make informed decisions to better manage their waste disposal practices.
