Bimetallic complexes [Cl3Pt-dpop'-M-dpop'](PF6), where dpop' = dipyrido(2,3-a:3',2'-j)phenazine and M = Os(II) and Ru(II), have been prepared and studied.  While dpop' has been a theoretical ambidentate ligand with the ability to serve as a bridging ligand, until these complexes, has not been shown to coordinate via the external N on the phenazine ligand in monodentate coordination. The prepared complexes were separated via cation column chromatography to separate them from any aquated species. The NMR spectra of both bimetallic complexes with M = Os(II) and Ru(II) show signals consistent with the complexed Cl3Pt-dpop'-M and the M-dpop' moieties. Electronic absorption and electrochemical data will also be presented.
