Estuarine PCB fluxes (sed-->water) were estimated with a diffusion model.  Nearly all fluxes were sediment to water with the exceptions of PCB-209 and -11.  Fluxes diminished from 2002 to 2008 but then increased possibly due to large-scale sediment movement during Hurricane Ike.  With low (< 5% of sediment OC) black carbon (BC), the predicted sediment reduction to currently reach zero flux from sediment was 70-99%, but more BC could lessen the required reductions.
