The development of lanthanide-based scintillators has been an ongoing effort at Los Alamos National Laboratory for applications in radiation detection.  The focus herein is on some of our recent progress in several areas of CeBr3 research.  Approaches will cover the development of both single crystals as well as nanoparticles for potential use as ?-detection materials.  Several other materials-based approaches will also be presented.
