The management of intellectual property has become an important issue in recent years particularly for larger organizations. IP critical to corporate products, processes, and services deserve full support and protection. Weak and non-germane patents can be abandoned or auctioned. In the vast middle, however, large numbers of of idle patents can build up in an organization's portfolio. These patents are potentially valuable but often unqualified, burdening the owners with increasing maintenance costs. Auxin works with client firms to turn fallow IP to revenue generators by enhanced technologytransfer and licensing services. Auxin assesses patents for commercial and technical value potential and assemblesteams of experts to prepare inventions for adoption by licensees through design, prototyping, performance validation, and supplier qualification steps. Auxin then markets and licenses the technology transfer license package to existing manufacturers or to purpose-built start-up companies.
