In the fall of 2012 I enrolled in an online course in HTML5 with the hope of developing a web app for use with my chemistry courses, but, my full time teaching duties kept getting in the way. In the spring of 2013, I received an iPad 4 to use in my teaching at Wayne Community College. During the summer of 2013, the college partnered with myintouchmobile , a local web developer, to create a web app for the college. I became the first faculty member to have my educational materials available to my students through the WCC web app.The WCC Mobile App is a native Apple and Android application.  Students are able to view important class and laboratory information, keep up to date during the semester with a class calendar, follow along with their instructor during class using lecture power points, watch introductory lab videos and even submit lab results directly to their instructor - all from one powerful WCC web app.Come and see what I have created for my chemistry students, what their reaction has been, what lessons I have learned and what the future holds for this app. Learn how the college's decision to become a Google affiliated school, along with a desire to �go green�, has spurred other changes in the ways that I now teach chemistry.Some of the other web-based apps I am using with my chemistry students, include: ACS Mobile, ChemDraw, Gas Law HD, Google Drive, K12-Periodic Table, MahjongChem, Molecules, Notability, Remind 101, SlideShark, Twitter, and UPAD 2. I look forward to sharing some of these apps with you and learning about other useful chemistry apps as well.
