Teaching an organic chemistry prelab usually includes a lecture on the reaction at hand, safety precautions and drawings of the experimental set-up. This presentation focuses on the implementation of a video based prelab model for the sophomore organic chemistry laboratory sequence.  The prelab involves pre-recording experimental set-ups that include glassware connections and safety warnings followed by a video PowerPoint presentation on the reaction and data analysis required for the reaction.  Student access the information through links provided by the instructor during the week prior to instruction. This presentation will focus on the implementation of the lab as well as student assessment. The student assessment will include a survey taken by the students as well as an analysis of prelab quizzes.
