ACS Student Chapter of the University of Puerto Rico at Aguadilla involves itself in a new era full of challenges and new experiences performed with commitment and dynamism. Our Chapter, consist of 238 active members, of those 143 are new members and 95 that renewed their membership. We organized an exciting and awesome recruitment process. This represents the 24% of the total of 994 students from our Department of Natural Sciences.  Definitely, now we are the biggest Student Chapter of Puerto Rico.  Today as an outstanding Chapter, we possess a combination between quantity and quality members. The truth is that our members are the reason why we are a successful Chapter. We are similar to precious metals, always exposing their internal luster just with the right amount of polish, lusters like our leadership skills. Our mission is to promote the knowledge of chemistry in an interactive, dynamic and innovative way; reflecting our energy and passion toward chemistry. We carried it out by planning and performing community service activities, like �Universitario por un D�a� (College Student for a Day) in which children who were diagnosed with cancer had the opportunity to become scientific for a day. We also organize scientific conferences addressed to the students and the UPRAg community, and assemblies in order to encourage our members to become outstanding professionals, our polished metals.
