Since the late 1940s, scientific information has been proliferating at an extremely rapid rate.  It is rare to see a year go by that does not feature the introduction of at least one new journal in chemistry or the related disciplines, and it seems that researchers are publishing more articles and patents than ever.   Unfortunately, the amount of time that chemists have to read the literature has not expanded proportionally, resulting in a system that teeters on the brink of being sustainable.  This presentation takes a broad-level look at the work done by chemical information professionals, create tools and teaching search and evaluation skills to help chemists find the information that they need to do their research.
