Since the general principles were introduced, super-resolution methods have primarily been used to understand static or slow-moving biological systems, but have thus far seen limited application to synthetic materials and dynamics on the millisecond time scale.  Here, we combine super-resolution imaging of synthetic, polymer interfaces and single molecule tracking of organic fluorophores.  This achieves an understanding of the nanoscale structure of the polymer at a spatial resolution of ~20 nm and the dynamics of the analyte at a temporal resolution on the order of ~10 ms.  We resolve heterogeneity, showing the importance for super-resolved, millisecond instrumental capabilities in understanding the functional role of the nanoscale structure of polymers on analyte dynamics.
