Flonicamid is a selective systemic aphicide discovered by Ishihara Sangyo Kaisha, Ltd. While exploring novel opportunities for sucking pest control within this chemistry class, we have identified under-represented fused heterocycles as suitable amide replacements. This poster will outline synthesis and biological activity of a novel class of imidazo[5,1b]thiazoles.
