Macro Porous Graphene from Hollow Ni Templates via Polymer Templates with Bi-continuous Structure Kewei Liu, Yu-Ming Chen and Yu Zhu*Department of Polymer Science, the University of Akron,170 University Circle, Akron, Ohio 44325-3909, United StatesThe stack of graphene sheets in bulky systems greatly reduces its exceptionally high specific surface area, which limits the potential utilization of graphene. Hence, a series of graphene with macroscopic structure have been fabricated by chemically derived graphene[1],[2]or template-supported chemical vapor deposition[3],[4]. However, a tunable control of the macroscopic structure of graphene has yet been achieved. Here we report a method to fabricate three-dimensional porous graphene based on Ni templates derived from poly (styrene)/poly (ethylene oxide) blends with controllable phase morphology. Hollow structure with extremely high porosity of 95.15% was observed after Ni electroless-deposited onto the porous poly (styrene) templates with poly (ethylene oxide) removed.
