Complexes undergoing spin crossover are important for their potential as components of molecular electronic devices. In this poster, we are presenting the M�ssbauer spectra over a range of temperatures and applied magnetic fields, for the crystallographically characterized FeIIITPACat-NN with N4O2 coordination. Because the isomer shifts for high-spin (HS) and low-spin (LS) ferric compounds are distinct, their relative contributions were determined. M�ssbauer spectroscopy allows the probing of solid samples at variable temperature and magnetic fields, with the possibility of determination of ligand field parameters and magnetic anisotropy. M�ssbauer spectra at ambient temperature reveal a HS ferric complex with isomer shift 0.48 mm/s, while lowering the temperature causes spin transition in 75 % of the molecules in the sample. Low-temperature high-field M�ssbauer spectra were collected in order to determine magnetic hyperfine interactions of the low-spin ferric configuration. The crystallographic parameters are discussed in correlation with the M�ssbauer studies. Further correlation of M�ssbauer parameters with ligand-field strength can be used to tune the donor properties of the ligands and to create ligand architectures for magnetic materials.
