Since we original proposed the concept of oxidative trifluoromethylation in 2010, the direct incorporation of the CF3 groups into to a diverse range of organic molecules including tertiary amines, terminal alkynes, aryl and alkenyl boronic acids and heteroarenes has been developed. The oxidative trifluoromethylation provides a protocol for a novel, efficient and versatile route toconstruct C(sp, sp2, sp3)-CF3 bonds. Very recently, we have accomplished the oxidative difunctionalization-type trifluoromethylation of alkenes. We will present the hydrotrifluoromethylation, oxytrifluoromethylation and ditrifluoromethylation of alkenes.
