The technical complexity of modern first-principles methods is high; it becomes even higher is we also want to reduce the high formal computational complexity of such methods. To enable sparse computation with high-dimensional rank- and element-sparse data we are developing TiledArray, a high-level parallel framework for composition of dense and sparse tensor algorithms. We will illustrate how TiledArray can be used to quickly implement several recent low-rank many-body theories.
