We recently designed and discovered a brand-new bridging ligand based on indigo diimines ('Nindigo').[1] These ligands are straightforward to make, and bring a wealth of function (e.g. redox activity, near IR absorption) to their coordination complexes. [1,2,3] This presentation will focus on a suite of mono- and bimetallic Nindigo complexes (Ru, Cu, Pt), with an overarching theme of elucidating ligand vs metal-centered electronic structure contributions to observed physicochemical porperties (absorption, emission, redox, mixed valency).[1] Inorg.
