Single nanoparticle spectroelectrochemistry technique (SN-SEC) provides with good repeatability and low background signal as a high sensitive detection scheme. This presentation will discuss our recent research work on SN-SEC using electroluminescence at single Au nanoparticles (NPs) in order to study particle size and local analytical activities of Au NPs. Specifically, the work will entail: 1) Design and set-up of SN-SEC experiment; 2) The correlation of electroluminescence intensity generated at individual Au NPs and their particle size with the help of dark field scattering image; 3) The digital simulation of local redox reactions.
