Heterocycles with no doubt are one of the most important classes of the organic compounds. Introduction of perfluoroalkyl substituent into heterocyclic molecules often leads to enhancing their biological activity and as the result to developing new drug candidates with unique properties [1].Recently, we described the synthesis of pentafluorosulfanyldifluoroacetic acid [SF5CF2C(O)OH], which allows the introduction of the SF5CF2-moiety in a variety of classes of organic compounds [2]. In the present work, we will discuss approaches to synthesis of SF5CF2-containing heterocycles and their corresponding SF5CH2-analogues.[1]Petrov, V. A.,Ed.
