Herein, we describe the development of RNA, DNA, LNA and PNA brush polymers and copolymers prepared via graft-through and/or graft-to methodologies. Of particular interest is the utility of the resulting materials in controlled, programmable morphology transitions. In addition, we will describe the strength of these materials as highly resistant nucleic-acid equivalents capable of regulating cellular processes in vitro. We will describe the development of these polymeric materials and their application in biomedical settings where nucleic acid delivery and targeting to diseased tissues remains a central challenge to gene therapy and medicine in general. <br/>
