Dendrimers with a dual surface functionality have been reported and were synthesized via a dendron approach. Each dendron with a different functional group was synthesized first and then joined to each other through their focal point (Convergent approach). In this study, we report synthesis of dendrimers with dual functionality by a divergent approach. A mono<i> tert</i>-butyloxycarbonyl (t-BOC) protected diamine core was attached to the building block with an aldehyde group on one end and a carboxybenzyl (CBz) protected amine on the other end. The protecting groups were independently de-protected and then underwent further reactions, allowing the ultimate attachment of two different functional groups on the surface. After the desired size of the dendrimer was synthesized, the dendrimers were attached to an aldehyde terminated with azide, which underwent alkyne-azide click reactions.     <br/>
