This year marks the fifth year of DeSales University Natural Science Club being an official ACS chapter. The chapter has allowed its members to organize various science related trips and provide science education outreach throughout the year so that students are able to further their interest in science in unique and fun ways. The major outreach program organized fully by the chapter is Environment Day, where elementary school students from the surrounding area come to the University to learn about various aspects of the environment. The DeSales Chemistry Demonstrations Program is also affiliated with the chapter and presents new and exciting demonstrations annually spanning many science topics for high school and middle school students. This program also allows DeSales students to explore new areas of chemistry while furthering their presentation skills and improving their ability to work as a team.
