The 17 Sustainable Development goals set forth by the United Nations is an ambitious vision that can helps move our anthropogenic society towards a world in better balance with the natural environment. Leadership from Corporations, Government Agencies, Educators and Inventors will be required to make significant progress. This presentation will discuss ongoing efforts from various sectors of the chemical enterprises highlighting the achievements as well as some of the still unmet challenges. In addition to some comments and preliminary presentations by the authors, a general discussion with the audience is planned.
