Science magic tricks captivate the curiosity of young learners and have a powerful capacity to inspire and motivate the study of STEM disciplines.  We have to date performed our science magic show “Magical Science!!” in 200 locations to combined audiences in excess of 20,000 enthusiastic students, all on a volunteer basis.  How does one come to spend so much time volunteering?  And why?  We will share some of the profound ways that volunteering has impacted the student participants.  Moreover, we will share some of the profound ways that volunteering has impacted us, the volunteers, both professionally and personally, in support of the longstanding adage: volunteering, you get more than you give.
