Since the publishing of the book “Green Chemistry: Theory and Practice” 20 years ago, the chemistry world has seen extraordinary advances from all aspects of the chemical enterprises. K-12 and University science education is undergoing transformation, industrial manufacturing has evolved, inventors have a new set of tools to design the next generation of products, and investors and government agencies are rethinking how to manage chemistry and innovation. This presentation will review the changes over the past 20 celebrating various achievements and highlight some ongoing unmet needs.
