Polymers were synthesized using the interfacial polymerization of organotin dichlorides with salts of camphoric acid.  The products are formed rapidly (within 15 secs), in good yield, and high chain lengths.  The polymers exhibit good inhibition of the zika virus.  The zika virus is inhibited through treatment with nanogram/mL amounts of the organotin polyesters.   The zika virus is an enveloped plus-stranded RNA virus belonging to the Flavivirus genus. It was initially discovered in Uganda in 1947.  The concern for Zika virus comes from its potential to cause severe neurological diseases, such as microcephaly in newborns, as well as a handful of cases which involved development of Guillain-Barre syndrome, which causes the immune system to attack the peripheral nervous system.<br/>
