Radical reactions of allenes are underdeveloped, particularly in the arena of nitrogen-centered radical addition to allenes, rendering substrate scope and synthetic versatility of such reactions underexplored. Due to the lack of reports on amidyl radical’s reactivity towards allenes and its potential in straightforwardly and effectively generating nitrogen-containing heterocycles, such as derivatives of pyrroles, pyrrolidines, piperidines, a visible-light-assisted and catalyst-free radical hydroamidation of allenes is investigated. This unusual method employs the electrolytic nature of the inorganic salts and delivers alkenyl lactams of various size with moderate to good <i>E</i>/<i>Z</i> ratio.
