Any technology innovation in the chemistry enterprise, whether it is “green” or otherwise, typically has a multi-year journey from the inception of the idea to commercialization.   From developing a disciplined focus on the exact product that represents your go-to-market entry strategy, to production challenges, to market demand uncertainty, each step requires considerable fortitude and flexibility to take and move the next step closer to the market.  The ACS Green Chemistry Institute has established a Biochemical Technology Leadership Roundtable to assist companies across the value chain with tackling the unique challenges associated with being a greener or more sustainable company through science-based, non-competitive collaborations.  This presentation will highlight this small group of companies, the challenges it has faced, and lessons learned in collaborating at the bleeding edge of a start-up.
