Natural photosynthetic organisms employ large aggregates of chromophores for efficient harvesting and delivery of excitons.  Despite numerous spectroscopic and theoretical studies conducted so far, the key factors enabling efficient transport of excitons in many of such natural chromophore assemblies still remain poorly understand. This also makes it difficult to identify genuine design principles that can be utilized for systematic development of efficient synthetic light harvesting complexes.  This talk presents computational studies of the dynamics and spectroscopy of both natural systems and models for synthetic systems such as linear, circular, and tubular aggregates.  Outcomes of these studies offer new insights into how quantum delocalization, vibronic coupling, disorder, and the energetic and structural arrangement of chromophores influence the mobility and spectroscopic observables.         <br/>
