Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have been studied for their great porosity, tunability and multifunctional properties. MOF hybrids are emerging new materials that combine the advantages of both MOFs and other materials. They can be synthesized by hybridizing MOFs and various materials, such as polymers, hydrogels, graphene and metal oxide. In this presentation, several MOF hybrid materials will be discussed. For example, a MOF-hydrogel hybrid material was obtained using water as the solvent in a one-pot synthesis. This new hybrid material exhibited enhanced adsorption of dye molecules in aqueous solutions compared to the MOF or hydrogel alone. The hybrid showed higher stability in acidic solutions than hydrogels. In addition, a MOF-enzyme hybrid and a MOF-graphene hybrid, as well as their interesting propertes will also be discussed.
