Transition of undergraduate Biochemistry from a face-to-face (F2F) and hands-on learning experience in the laboratory to the virtual sphere posed several challenges. Few undergraduate Biochemistry-focused virtual laboratory experiences were available. Quantitative enzyme kinetics is a key topic in undergraduate biochemistry curriculum and posed a particular challenge to deliver in a virtual environment. A two-week sequence of experimentation and data analysis was designed to teach methods of kinetic data collection and analysis. The laboratory sequencing delivered the required content and, more importantly, gave hands-on experience and engagement opportunities for all students regardless of physical location. The combination of an at-home experiment, a virtual-F2F group laboratory experiment, and a syncronous collaboration tool was used to effecively teach quantitative enzyme kinetics in an upper-level undergraduate biochemistry course that provided equivalent learning to what was previously achieved in the traditional F2F laboratory environment..
