The mission of the ACS Student Affiliate Club at DeSales University has been to educate our community on the wonders of chemistry and other scientific topics. The club has been involved with a chemistry demonstrations program for local middle and high school students, as well as our community. This program is in its 20th year and is presented using undergraduate student demonstrators to over 2000 students each year. The student affiliate also conducts an environmental science program for local 2nd and 3rd graders. Over the past 20 years, the affiliate has used various environmental activities to motivate and educate over 700 local elementary students each year on environmental topics.
