Global warming has become one of the most urgent issues to solve in today’s society. While humans are the dominant cause of observed warming, its impact reaches beyond human context -- sea level rise, biotas disruptions, etc. Fortunately, there are already many solutions in progress aiming to remove carbon dioxide in the atmosphere at a meaningful amount. With previous advances in the NASA Mars Project to colonize Mars, a plan is presented to utilize CO2 in the Mars atmosphere and convert it to useful chemicals. This poster describes a way to also use this technology on Earth to combat climate change. We will go into details on the background into climate change on Earth, Mars and its atmosphere and NASA previous planning, the applicability of NASA technology to the CO2 challenge on Earth, the design of proper reactors on Earth based on previous findings, and lastly, the economic analysis of our proposed solution that builds on previous work.
