Palladium-Boron cathodes containing about 0.5 weight percent boron give the Fleischmann-Pons excess enthalpy in nearly every experiment. This excesspower, in fact, is clearly measurable within the first 10 minutes of the electrolysis of the Pd-B/D2O system. These palladium-boron cathodes were made at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington,DC and tested at several different laboratories with similar results. Helium-4 seems to be the major product that correlates with the excess enthalpy production. Cold Fusion, if it can be commercially developed as an energy source, would help mitigate greenhouse gases from fossil fuels and future global warming.
