With the recent exciting advancement in chemistry, biology, data science and lab automation, the diverse analytical chemistry training across science, engineering and informatics offers nowadays analytical chemists very versatile career paths. Reflecting my experiences and observations, continuously renewing and expanding the knowledge, lining up the career opportunities with personal passion and interest, and maximizing the specialties of individual’s unique skill set combinations are three key enablers that would make analytical chemists stand out.
