The state of Illinois recently legalized recreational uses of cannabis. Illinois has only a small number of labs for the analytical testing of cannabis located throughout the state and hence undergraduate students with cannabis-related analytical training will be a needed part of the future workforce. We are currently reviewing all analytical testing methods for cannabis and are currently focusing on testing various hemp materials. Data related to THC, THCa, CBDa, and CBD will be presented.
