Based on metagenomic data from extreme environments (Deepsea, Volcanos,  Antarctic), this project prospected 1508 Biosynthetic Gene Clusters  (BGCs) among 62 production domains. After curation, 33 BGCs were  identified as potential producers of anticancer and antibiotic  metabolites. Most of them (>80%) are potential new BGCs, with no  similarity to known clusters. The results reveal the efficiency of  metagenomic prospection of extreme environments and the originality of  their genetic reservoir.
