Beginning in early 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted life in the United States and across the globe. With the world just now slowly emerging from its grip, thanks largely to the advent of vaccines and various treatments for the ailment, one can begin to take stock of the challenges that it presented to higher education in STEM, as well as of how the reaction to those challenges may positively shape the post-pandemic academic world.<br/><br/>To that end, presented herein is an overview of the strategies and techniques employed by the Chemistry faculty at Harford Community College in managing Preparatory Chemistry and the General Chemistry series during the pandemic, as well as in emerging from it. Moreover, also presented is how the resources and skills developed out of necessity in reaction to the pandemic are being used--and might be used yet--to enrich and supplement the curriculum as the world attempts its return to "normal".
