**Description**
Good atomization and fine mixing of the propellants accompanied by the LRE injector determine the combustion and nozzle efficiency of a LRE. While poor atomization and thick mixing of the propellants create combustion instabilities, which is an ubiquitous problem for any LRE. For good atomization and fine mixing, a well defined continuous flow with minimum turbulence and maximum velocity is considered. To obtain such flow, baffles can be used with a compressed flow area. In this thesis radial baffles were installed inside a cylindrical surface of a LOX centered pintle body of a slit type pintle injector and compressed flow area followed by the baffles was installed. Baffles established an axial flow pattern and minimized the tangential or swirl component. To validate the effects of the baffles and compressed flow area region on the performance parameters of the pintle injector, a 3D pintle injector was analyzed computationally in ANSYS using Fluent as a solver. The flow simulations were obtained by the governing Navier Stokes equation and the COUPLED and SIMPLE Method were used.
