GlycoData (https:/www.glycodata.org) is an open-source glycomaterials database initiated by GlycoMIP, an NSF-funded Materials Innovation Platform. GlycoData provides all published in-house experimental and simulations research data, as well as user-contributed glycomaterials data to the worldwide scientific community through two types of databases: projects and glycomaterials. Specifically, the projects database includes the theoretical and experimental data of published in-house projects. The projects database also welcomes and encourages GlycoMIP users to provide their data to enhance the visibility of their research. The glycomaterials database is a collection of substances and compounds assembled through in-house research in GlycoMIP. Thus, the overall goals of GlycoData are to 1) provide the users with the latest glycomaterials data; 2) encourage users to share new glycomaterial data to increase their research impact; 3) offer opportunities for new collaborations; 4) provide resources for education and training. To the best of our knowledge, GlycoData is the first of its kind data sharing platform that solely focuses on Glycomaterials. We envision that GlycoData will play a significant role in the development of new glycomaterials via data-driven materials discovery approaches.
