ACM partners with Morressier to bolster research integrity in conference proceedings
Pilot will support integrity of scholarly conference content by providing event organizers and editors with advanced detection tools to address issues early
Berlin, London, and Washington DC, March 11, 2024 – Morressier, the Berlin-based startup transforming scholarly communications, today announced its partnership with the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). The learned and professional society with a membership over 100,000 will use Morressier’s proceedings workflows, featuring integrity checks including: plagiarism detection, suspicious reference patterns, image manipulation and AI-generated content.
Research integrity issues in scholarly conference content are rife, and the costs to societies and publishers of post-hoc investigations are significant. This is a particularly complex issue with learned societies that have a variety of external committees and ethics processes. With Morressier workflows, ACM are giving editors and event organizers automated signals at the moment they can be more easily acted upon: before publication.
